Natural Dairy Products is seeking to fill an

EARLY FIRST SHIFT

Plant Based, Juice, Milk Batching & HTST Operator position at their Newark, DE processing facility. The operator must be motivated and desire to be members of a self-activating team that works safely and drives quality on the production line. The ideal candidates for this role excel in a fast paced, rigorous environment and thrive in a team-based work setting.

*Position Start Time is 2:00am Daily.

*Hourly Rate is Based on Previous Experience.

*Due to Level of Ability Needed to Complete Position Daily, Compensation is Very Competitive.

Position Description:

This position is responsible for following all Food Safety and Quality requirements as outlined in Natural Dairy's Good Manufacturing Policy, the position Standard Operating Procedures and facility employee training sessions. The position is also required to report any concerns that may impact Food Safety or Quality to their immediate supervisor, the plant Quality Manager or the Plant Manager.

HTST Principle Responsibilities:

- Effectively and Efficiently operate the HTST unit in accordance with all Federal, State and Local rules and regulations

-Be able to communicate effectively between management and personnel. -

-Maintains accurate and legible documentation during processing to include: SQF, Master Sanitation, Product Traceability, HACCP, Vitamin Fortification, Batch Sheets, and other documents as needed to meet regulatory requirements.

-Ensure that the chart recording charts are being filled out and changed in a timely manner as to avoid any overlapping of information being recorded.

-Ensures that all rules and regulations established with the holding, storage and pasteurizing of milk as stated in the PMO are being observed and followed.

-Work with Local State Authorities to conduct and complete quarterly testing of the HTST unit.

-Receive Tankers of milk and be certified by State Officials on said receiving and sampling of milk as referenced in Appendix N of the PMO.

-Be able to read and understand Charts and Chart Recorders.

-Must possess the ability to multitask several critical operations at any given moment.

-Must be punctual and able to work under stressful time frames.

-Maintains accurate and legible documentation during processing to include: SQF, Master Sanitation, Product Traceability, HACCP, Vitamin Fortification, and other documents as needed to meet regulatory requirements.

-Records all necessary documentation on HTST and CIP recording charts to maintain regulatory compliance.

-Responsible for blending, mixing, and preparing products for production.

-Works closely with production supervisors to ensure timely delivery of product to minimize downtime.

-Works closely with the laboratory to ensure products are formulated and tested to meet quality and regulatory requirements.

-Responsible for taking and documenting all product samples to the lab as necessary.

-Monitors and documents chemical concentrations to ensure proper cleaning of equipment.

-Perform all preventative maintenance as per department schedule.

-Must keep work area and machines clean at all times.

-Must follow all safety policies and procedures at all times.

-Must follow companies GMP's, SOP's, and SSOP's at all times.

-Must wear appropriate PPE at all times.

-Perform other related duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds frequently, between floor level and chest level

MUST BE ABLE TO MULTI-TASK !

MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXEPERIENCE IN PLANT ENVIRONMENT !

Must have the finger dexterity for securing of clamps and pipe connections. Must be able to push/pull stacks of product into position for handling Must be able to continuously stand, walk, flex, stretch, twist and move throughout the area for 8 to 10 hours Must be able to climb stairs Ability to organize and analyze process problems Must have basic arithmetic skills; able to read and understand instructions; and able to write legibly Must be able to monitor and inspect inventory and reconcile receipt/distribution of product Must be able to follow instructions with minimal supervision Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Processes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
