New York Metro
In 2019, JPMorgan Chase launched the Advancing Black Pathways (ABP) initiative to solve some of the persistent challenges facing people from underserved and disadvantaged communities, particularly Black communities. ABP focuses on three areas where there are persistent racial and economic disparities that create barriers to long-term financial success. Three pathways - Wealth, Education and Careers -- have been created to develop solutions that will yield the most impactful, tangible benefits.
The Opportunity:
Under the Education Pathway, ABP offers a five-week paid, full-time summer fellowship held in select JPMorgan Chase offices. The Advancing Black Pathways (ABP) Fellowship Program offers a five-week paid, full-time summer fellowship held in select JPMorgan Chase offices. The ABP Fellowship Program is designed to attract undergraduate sophomores who are interested in early exposure to financial services careers and committed to the advancement of individuals from underrepresented groups in this industry. The ABP Fellowship Program is seeking sophomore students, including, without limitation, Black students, who are interested in exploring career opportunities at JPMorgan Chase. We are looking for dynamic individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives to help us grow and position our businesses for the future. All sophomore students who are interested in the Fellowship Program, regardless of background, are welcome to apply.
Participants will be provided with an introduction to financial services and the firm. They will be exposed to our senior leaders and have an opportunity to learn about our businesses, build professional
development skills, and gain insight into how their diverse backgrounds and perspectives as financial services professionals might positively impact the future of people\'s lives, the firm and our industry.
This opportunity will expose students to careers in financial services and include hands-on experience, mentorship, and a project-based curriculum, designed to help build a pathway to future employment opportunities. The ABP Fellowship Program is committed to providing early exposure and professional development opportunities to participants. Participants in the Fellowship Program are encouraged to apply for the JPMorgan Chase internship program the following year, and, upon successful completion of the internship, full-time employment with the firm.
The ABP Fellowship Program will consist of one-week of training and orientation onsite at one of our firm\'s locations. During this time, fellows will participate in orientation to our firm, our businesses, and gain the technical and practical knowledge needed to be successful during the program. After the induction, fellows will report to the designated location for their specific line of business track.
Under the Human Resource Analyst Development Program Track fellows will spend a portion of the Program learning and contributing to strategies and projects in areas such as compensation, recruiting, performance management and employee relations, supporting different lines of businesses (Asset & Wealth Management, Consumer & Community Banking, Commercial Banking, and Corporate & Investment Banking) or corporate functions. You\'ll be immersed in cutting-edge, next generation HR capabilities, including data literacy, design thinking, and other commercial skills. For students who are pursuing a career in Human Resources, the program is designed to give you an exceptional foundation that will set you up for success for the rest of your HR career.
