Duties
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
Utilize various teaching methods, including Montessori techniques, to accommodate different learning styles.
Foster a nurturing classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
Assess and monitor student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Integrate learning technology into the classroom to enhance educational experiences.
Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting respect and responsibility among students.
Collaborate with parents, staff, and administration to support student needs, including special education requirements.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices.
Provide tutoring support for students who may need additional assistance outside of regular class hours.
Proofread educational materials and communications to ensure clarity and accuracy.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
Must hold a Florida professional teaching certification; temporary certification or is eligible to earn a teaching certification.
Experience in education is a plus.
Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
Familiarity with learning technologies and their application in the classroom setting.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
