Posting Summary

Provide academic advising for College of Engineering, Math and Science (CEMS) students. Advise students regarding their academic standing, the CEMS four-year success plan, and routes to degree completion. Advise students, faculty, and staff on unusual academic situations. Provide primary general and holistic advising, coordinate with and refer students to specialty and focused resources such as the Mosaic Center for Students of Color, CAPS, PRISM Center, Office of International Education, Women and Gender Equity Center, Department of Student Life, and the Center for Academic Success. Design, coordinate, and facilitate academic programming and support services specific to the needs of CEMS students and specific student populations. Coordinate and collaborate with fellow academic advisors, faculty and staff on the delivery of various experiential learning programs, support recruitment and admissions, and Belonging Equity missions of the College. Provide additional advising, recruitment, and retention services to all CEMS students.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor\'s degree and two to four years\' related experience required. Effective organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail required. Experience working with diverse student populations required.
Desirable Qualifications

Background in academic advising highly desirable. Experience and knowledge of student information systems and advising platforms highly desirable. Understanding of high-impact practices and experiential learning desirable.

Special Conditions Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period
