TVC, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Economist Group is a leading content-driven communication agency with a unique approach to creative.

We blend PR, production, creative and strategy and a distribution network, working with many of the world\xe2\x80\x99s leading brands in technology, fin-tech, luxury, food & drink, travel, leisure, sport sponsorship and lifestyle space. The agency is award-winning in the EMEA region and hopes to replicate its success in the US.

Currently, we are seeking an Account Director to join our NY team and act as a link between our clients and a wide range of TVC employees in order to manage and oversee the details of all client deliverables.

Accountabilities

How you will contribute:

  • Develop and lead the strategic direction, media outreach and client servicing of accounts within TVC\xe2\x80\x99s Global sector
  • Drive and own projects from inception to execution for the accounts responsible within TVC
  • Maintain and stretch existing client activity, as well as support senior managers helping generate the introduction of new clients and business within the sector
  • Strategically input on growth and opportunities with existing clients (eg developing creative campaign ideas, areas where we can grow our offering and consulting on relationships and our role)
  • Anticipate account issues/risks with clearly communicated resolutions, and react to changing demands and aggressive deadlines with a positive attitude.
  • Manage the team, collaborate with colleagues and develop juniors demonstrating ownership, good understanding of accountability and growth of accounts
  • Manage a number of different work streams and clients simultaneously with exceptional attention to detail.
Experience, skills and professional attributes

Ideal skills for this role are:
  • Act as lead day-to-day contact with clients, including leading update meetings and calls where relevant and signing off action notes afterwards
  • Lead the team by setting clear roles & responsibilities and ensuring the team is hitting deadlines and sticking to the scope of work for each project
  • Support the team to develop integrated marketing plans for campaigns including content, PR and digital. An understanding of global media is required and an established network of media contacts would be preferable
  • Help plan, organize, motivate and lead the activities of team members and other staff where relevant (eg freelancers), achieving required objectives within agreed costs and timeframes
