POSITION OVERVIEW:
Account Specialist, Provide customer service to payers, providers, and patients with questions on their accounts via web, phone, in person, and by mail. Responsible for reviewing and verifying \xe2\x80\x9cExplanation of Benefits\xe2\x80\x9d and insurance claims. Responsible for correct claims, denials, and follow up, appeals with Insurance Carriers to ensure claims are paid appropriately.
SHIFT: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience in Hospital (Acute) collections and billing. Minimum two years hospital healthcare business office experience required.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Read, write and speak fluent English. Basic accounting, intermediate computer and office equipment knowledge. Medical terminology & coding knowledge helpful. Knowledge of payer requirements and programs which the patient may be eligible. Perform repetitive processes with speed and accuracy. Strong interpersonal relations and customer service skills. Basic typing and 10 Key, problem solving and attention to details. Prioritized time management.
