Description and FunctionsOpen Until FilledGENERAL DESCRIPTION:This position is responsible for managing patient accounts, including electronic third-party billing, self-pay accounts, Medicare billing, posting payments to patient accounts, auditing, and distributing patient funds.The city of Evanston is a small and friendly Rocky Mountain community that is a 45-minute drive from the world-famous ski slopes of Park City, Utah. There are concerts, shopping, dining, professional sporting events, and an international airport 60 minutes away in Salt Lake City.   • Ensures internal control of the work unit.
  • Resolves problems and questions regarding work methods and processes presented by co-workers.
  • Researches and analyzes data.
  • Prepares, analyzes, and interprets fiscal information and may carry out special studies.
  • Recommends fiscal policy and methods for improving operations.
  • Participates in agency planning for the next budget period by researching and compiling data utilized in agency budget preparation.
  • Maintains patient trust account per established policy and procedures.
  • Generates monthly billings.
  • Management of patient accounts.
  • Financial interviews for new admissions.
  • Credentialing of new providers.
  • Ensures statutory compliance by internal and external stakeholders.
QualificationsPREFERENCES:Preference will be given to candidates who have current coding credentials and experience with insurance billing, account management, computers, and Microsoft software.KNOWLEDGE:
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10.
  • Knowledge of billing portals/clearinghouses.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education:Bachelor's Degree (typically in Finance)Experience:0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Finance) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Accounting TechnicianOREducation & Experience Substitution:3-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Finance) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Accounting TechnicianCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:NoneNecessary Special RequirementsPHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • The employee may sit comfortably to perform work, however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, etc.
NOTES:
  • FLSA: Non-Exempt
  • A background check, including fingerprinting, will be completed through the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation, the Wyoming Department of Family Services and the F.B.I. for every successful applicant.
  • Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing will be conducted on safety-sensitive positions. Drug testing will be completed on any position if reasonable suspicion exists.
  • A current Influenza Vaccination is required.
