Applications will be accepted up to 90 days after the posting date, or until the position is filled (whichever is first).Job Summary:The General Ledger Accounting Analyst will play a crucial role in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Responsibilities may include tasks such as journal entry preparation, review and approval of journal entries prepared by other finance and accounting individuals, balance sheet account reconciliation, unclaimed property escheatment, and daily support of treasury functions. The Accounting Analyst team ensures compliance with SOX requirements in oversight and testing of key controls. Additionally, the team facilitates user training on the PeopleSoft Financial system, reconciliation and journal entry policies, and all matters relating to close. Other duties may include acquisition integration support, special projects, and additional ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested. Our team interfaces with management and various departments including IT, Legal, Payroll, Finance, Treasury, Procurement, and others within Accounting and Shared Services. Job Responsibilities:
  • Involvement in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close management for the entire Finance organization
  • Journal entry preparation and comprehensive review and approval of journals prepared by others in the Finance organization
  • Balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis of monthly fluctuations, including foreign currency conversions
  • Ensure compliance with key SOX requirements for the Finance organization
  • Train and support Finance organization members on the PeopleSoft financial system, OnBase record retention software, and Blackline reconciliations system
  • Focus on ongoing process improvement, making recommendations and participating/leading initiatives to improve efficiency
  • Active participation in driving results to meet individual, team, and department objectives
Job Requirements:
  • Strong accounting/finance knowledge, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities
  • Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 2+ years accounting experience
  • Intermediate to strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Self-starter with a drive for excellence, ability to build strong working relationships, and a proven ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
The expected Total Compensation for this role is $55,000 - $70,000. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.Job Benefits
