Accounting Generalist

Primary Responsibilities:

The Accounting Generalist is expected to

Protect the legal, financial and moral well-being of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies;

Assist in oversight of assigned region of Larry H. Miller Dealerships\xe2\x80\x99 accounting functions;

Effectively communicate company policies to ensure accurate accounting administration and compliance;

Be a teacher to support the efforts of other employees to be successful;

Seek ways to improve business operations efficiencies and customer service.

Reports to: Controller

Wages: $22.00 - $30.00+ / Hourly (wages are based on experience and performance)

Primary Duties:

1. Assist to support and train dealership accounting staff in all areas accounting.

\xc2\xb7 Assist in developing, training and providing guidance to dealership employees in accounting standards;

\xc2\xb7 Assist with internal audit procedures and report findings;

\xc2\xb7 Assist to communicate and enforce dealership and Miller Automotive Operations policies and procedures;

\xc2\xb7 Assist to review financial data to ensure that it is compiled and that financial records are kept properly;

\xc2\xb7 Set an example of positive attitude and professionalism, including a neat, orderly and safe work environment.

\xc2\xb7 Perform all job duties requested by management.

Job Qualifications:

\xc2\xb7 High school diploma or the equivalent.

\xc2\xb7 1 + years of customer service and/or accounting experience.

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in computer software applications, such as Microsoft Excel and Word. Desirable: knowledge of Larry H. Miller Group\xe2\x80\x99s current company payroll and management systems.

\xc2\xb7 High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.

\xc2\xb7 Detail oriented.

\xc2\xb7 Excellent spelling and grammar skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

\xc2\xb7 Work performed in an office setting.

\xc2\xb7 Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about facilities.
