Responsible for supervision of general ledger, accounts receivable, payroll and accounts payable functions
Assists staff with technical accounting issues and general problem solving
Ensures accounting accuracy through review of expenditure coding, journal entry preparation and account reconciliations
Recommending and implementing internal control procedures, including cash handling and segregation of duties
Coordinates monthly closing and production of financial statements
Trained in general ledger, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to cover those areas during periods of staff absence
Monitors cash movements daily and reports cash balances to management weekly
Assist in yearly budget and reforecast cycles
Maintains fixed asset database and records monthly depreciation
Documentation of department policies and procedures
Assist with preparation of annual audit work papers

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field
Five years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a supervisory role
