As the Accounts Payable Manager, you will be leading and guiding the Accounts Payable team to ensure exceptional performance in processing and delivering excellent customer service. Your role will involve overseeing invoicing operations to optimize efficiency and precision, ultimately aiming for the highest levels of effectiveness and accuracy.

responsibilities:

• Taking a proactive, "hands-on" approach to ensure the effective operation of the Accounts Payable team.
• Leading and overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day Accounts Payable process while driving process improvements across the department and the end-to-end process through cross-functional collaboration and influence.
• Upholding controls within accounts payable to ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Initiating and driving process improvements and system automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Encouraging and facilitating leadership from within the team to generate change recommendations and implement methods or procedures to streamline the accounts payable function.
• Developing performance standard measurements and establishing monthly tracking of key metrics to monitor team performance.
• Organizing the team for success by fostering a collaborative and customer service-oriented work environment.
• Assisting the AP team in resolving account discrepancies by evaluating and approving investigations and handling special cases.
• Coordinating the monthly accounts payable close process, including accruals, and performing reconciliations and analysis.
• Directing and supervising Form 1099 processing to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Developing, implementing, and educating employees and management on new and updated policies and procedures related to accounts payable

qualifications:

• Bachelors in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of managerial experience with wine industry experience preferred
• Experience with a high volume accounts payable environment
• Demonstrated success in leading, implementing and improving processes
