Job Description

Myriad Genetics, Inc. is currently seeking a motivated and self-directed full-time AP Specialist who will be responsible for various payables activities within the accounting department. The AP Specialist position is a hybrid position in Salt Lake City, Utah. The AP Specialist will be required to go onsite to the Sale Lake City office 1 day per week (typically Wednesdays) and can choose to work remote or onsite the other days of the week.

Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for processing of AP invoices
• Help ensure compliance with company purchasing policy & PO process
• Reconciles and investigate discrepancies or unusual items
• Assist with preparing weekly payments
• Ensure that processes follow corporate policy and are accurate
• Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounts payable experience.
• Must be able to follow established policies and procedures to complete assignments with a high level of accuracy.
• Proven understanding of AP-related tax issues (e.g. sales tax, 1099 procedures, etc.).
• Experience with the use of Microsoft Office Products (specifically Excel, Word and
• Outlook).
• Accounting ERP system knowledge and experience (Oracle experience a plus).
• Must have superior professional office demeanor and good organizational skills to maintain financial records and correspondence.
• Must be motivated, self-directed, and responsible for meeting deadlines.

Physical & Lifting Requirements

• Lifting Requirements \xe2\x80\x93 light work or exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently.
• Physical Requirements \xe2\x80\x93 stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, and observing.
• Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions.
