We are excited to announce an opening for an Accounts Receivable and Collections Clerk to join our team! As an Accounts Receivable and Collections Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely collection of accounts receivable from clients. You will use your strong customer service and communication skills to negotiate payment arrangements with customers, while working with internal departments to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the collections process. Job Responsibilities

  • Collect delinquent payments from customers
  • Investigate customer payment histories and payment methods
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any payment disputes
  • Record customer payment information into the system
  • Monitor customer accounts and follow up on overdue payments
  • Contact customers to remind them of their payment due dates
  • Generate reminder letters and/or phone calls to customers with overdue payments
  • Update collections database with customer information
  • Prepare periodic reports on customer accounts
  • Analyze customer accounts to identify trends and areas of improvement
  • Provide feedback to management on accounts receivable status
  • Remain up-to-date with industry trends and regulations regarding collections
  • Assist other departments with customer account inquiries and reporting
Job Requirments
  • Bachelor\'s degree in a related field such as Business, Accounting, or Finance
  • At least 2 years of experience in a collections role
  • Knowledge of collection laws and regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers to negotiate payment arrangements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using collection management software
  • Ability to handle stress and remain professional
  • Strong data entry and typing skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Excellent customer service skills
