Schedule: Monday - Friday with some weekends

Responsibilities:

The Recreation Assistant works under general supervision responsible for planning, implementing, and coordinating the activity program under the general direction of the Activities Director. The activity program will assure that an ongoing program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interest, physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.

  • Schedule and coordinate leisure activity programs to meet the needs of all in-house residents.
  • Develop and plan activity programs to allow participation by residents within their capabilities.
  • Work with the interdisciplinary team to schedule activities and meet survey requirements.
  • Complete a Comprehensive evaluation on each resident.
  • Document the individual activity assessment and activity plan using the appropriate process and forms. Maintains appropriate documentation.
  • Establish an active Volunteer Program.
  • Develop a plan to effectively use community resources and serve as the facility\xe2\x80\x99s liaison to these resources.
  • Identify changes in behavior in residents and communicate these changes.
  • Record development to reflect appropriate participation in programs.
  • Evaluate residents to assist in the development of the individual activity program.
The general purpose of the Assistant CNA Scheduler is to ensure sufficient nursing staff is available to meet the needs of the residents per facility policy and procedure and in accordance with governing Federal and State Regulations.
  • Responsible for maintaining schedules and all records pertaining to nursing staff schedules.
  • Must be knowledgeable of staffing patterns and ensure staffing patterns are maintained.
  • Take calls for call-ins and report to the Director of Nursing Replace staff call-ins.
  • Schedule requested days off, vacations, sick time, etc., under the direction and approval of the Director of Nursing.
  • May complete administrative assistant duties for the Director of Nursing as requested.
  • Maintain all paperwork and records of absenteeism, requests, schedules, etc., and keep the Director of Nursing apprised of all areas.
  • Know and comply with Resident Rights and ensure the Resident Rights are always maintained.
Qualifications:
  • Must have a valid Utah CNA license.
  • Will need to obtain TRT Certification
  • Related administrative experience at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents, and families and to work cooperatively with other employees.
  • Basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company software.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
