The Alaska State Libraries, Archives & Museums is searching for their next Administrative Assistant to complete their team.What You Will Be Doing
You will be an essential member of the Libraries, Archives and Museums management team. Under general direction of the Operations Manager, you will: serve as a go-to person for facility management, open and close the building Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and manage building rentals. You will assist in compiling items in the building that are due to be recycled, put into surplus, or disposed of. You will assist in the acquisition of library materials, support the Talking Book Center, and help the Alaska Newspaper Project with microfilming.This position will serve on the building management team to assist with opening and closing the facility for evening, weekend, and weekday shifts as assigned by the building management committee. Occasionally, the incumbent may be asked to work evenings for special events. The desired work schedule for this position is Wednesday through Saturday, 7 AM to 5:30 PM. Alternate schedules which meet the opening and closing needs of the building may be available for well-qualified candidates.
