Position Summary:
Under supervision of the Contract and Grant Manager, the Assistant serves as a key liaison between Campus Research faculty and staff and the Department Administrative office. Some of the major duties are providing a wide range administrative support duties, financial support (reconciling financial transactions, forms preparation, all aspects of purchasing, and honorariums) and facilities management. Additional responsibilities include maintain accurate records and documentation in support of all purchases, process low-value purchase orders, high value requisitions and other types of purchases as required. Utilizing KFS financial system to submit Travel/Entertainment/Meeting reimbursements, processing transactions related to business expenses, and purchasing and maintaining inventory of office supplies for the Division. Assists Contract & Grant Manager with budgetary analysis, financial analysis, and forecasting. Incumbent must also possess an experienced level of administrative and communication skills, and must have a keen awareness of organizational structures, demonstrate tact, and diplomacy. Required:
1 to 3 years of related work experience with a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science, or equivalent experience. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work with detail and prioritize workload to ensure job completion with competing deadlines. Preferred:
Working knowledge of university policies and procedures preferred. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience with cancer-related research preferred. \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge with various types of human subject clinical trials (i.e., National Group, Industrial, and Investigator-authored). Experience with clinical trial management systems, preferably OnCore. \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of NIH and Private Industry Contracts policies and procedures.
