The purpose of this role is to coordinate, organize, oversee, and perform everyday clerical and administrative duties associated with school operations. They also provide secretarial assistance to the principal and serve as a liaison between students, staff, and parents.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Greet visitors in the front office and direct visitors and parents to correct school personnel
Manage front office and keep clean, neat stocked, and organized
Manage incoming calls, routing calls to staff or voicemail as appropriate
Handle bulk mailings and mail distribution, copying, collating, filling, faxing and sorting activities
Maintain office inventory and order and receive supplies as needed using purchase order requests
Record and report daily attendance
Maintain permanent student records and PowerSchool information
Process new enrollments, transfers and withdrawals
Provide daily lunch counts to cafeteria manager and distribute monthly lunch menus to teachers
Receive payments, process credit cards, enter daily deposits and issue receipts for lunch money, student fees, field trips, etc.
Post lunch payments to student accounts
Assist in collection of student fees and lunch accounts
Broadcast announcements over PA system
Assist in open houses, registration, back to school nights and any other school activities required by administration
Maintain staff rosters
Keep emergency procedure manual and front desk user manual updated
Assist in administrative overflow and special projects as needed
Assist and support students and company personnel

Job Requirements:
Candidate must possess a high school diploma. Associate's degree is preferred
Customer service oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Competency in MS Office and other office technology
Knowledge of office management techniques in an academic environment.
Ability to multitask
Must be highly organized, attentive to detail and have a strong work ethic.
Responsibility:
Must be able to function in a team work environment and work independently.
Personal Work Relationships:
Work collaboratively with a wide range of colleagues internally as well as external customers.
Physical Effort:
Minimal: lifting and carrying boxes of files for storage (max. 15 lbs.)
