Posting Summary
Provide complex administrative management for business, Center-wide financial services, research administration, and cancer clinical trial finances. Collaborate with the asst director on all financial administration of Center-wide budgets and commitments across multiple, multi-institutional fund sources. Collaborate with the Administrative Director for the Cancer Clinical Trials Office (CTO) to manage annual budgets, accounts payable, accounts billable and effort allocations for more than 100 clinical trials. Functionally supervise Research Project Financial Specialist (UVMMC position) in the oversight and management of all pre- and post-award fundamental and clinical research administration. Proactively identify and implement financial processes to support functional work of the UVM Cancer Center. Prepare reports for events, leadership, and membership meetings, as well as external board visits. Serve as a liaison with department business managers and Sponsored Projects Administration. Collaborate with the asst director on space policies, and space and equipment inventory.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor\'s degree in a related field and two to four years\' related experience required.
Ability to collaborate, excellent communication skills, ability to translate financial information to various audiences, and attention to detail is required.
Desirable Qualifications
Proficiency working with software applications used to support area operations including but not limited to PeopleSoft, Financial Edge and Microsoft applications is desirable.
