DescriptionSummary:The Administrator Oncology Services is responsible for overseeing and directing the oncology service line for CHRISTUS Ministries. The Administrator participates in and drives decisions related to service line business strategy and operations and is responsible for measurable service line growth, quality of patient care, the efficiency of operations, financial management of the service line, and strategic planning.Responsibilities:

  • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Serves as primary administrative dyad in relationship with Oncology Institute Chair.
  • Works with Oncology Institute Chair, as well as strategic and administrative leadership in identifying opportunities for overall growth for the Oncology service line.
  • Supports further development of the service line, including the potential expansion of existing services and the development of new products and services.
  • Responsible for maintaining knowledge of oncology healthcare trends and integrates such knowledge into strategic and long-range planning for the Oncology service line.
  • Supports leadership with the ongoing analysis of service line market dynamics and market share changes, product line performance and competitive intelligence.
  • Actively communicates with medical staff, internal and external physicians (and associated staff) on behalf of CHRISTUS Health related to the Oncology Service line.
  • Works and coordinates with the Marketing and Communications teams for CHRISTUS Health and Texas Oncology, as needed, to advance and promote the service line.
  • Supports development and publishing to online and social media content in conjunction with CHRISTUS Health marketing personnel.
  • Ensures the proper level of service line performance reporting and metrics (e. g. clinical, economic and operational) required for managing the quality and performance of the service line.
  • Coordinates research activities and clinical trials on behalf of the Oncology service line and in conjunction with Texas Oncology and/or US Oncology, as appropriate.
  • Facilitates organizational and community awareness of currently available research activities and clinical trials and reduces barriers to implementation of new research / trials.
  • Identifies, plans, and initiates goals for patient care and clinical services that aligns with the service line\xe2\x80\x99s core objectives and quality objectives.
  • Supports ongoing relationship management with Texas Oncology in service line delivery and performance of the Northeast Texas Cancer & Research Institute.
  • Facilitates review and improvement activities related to customer satisfaction, patient satisfaction, and physician satisfaction for the service line, as appropriate.
  • Organizes and promotes community education, outreach events, and support groups, as appropriate
  • Helps leadership in translating data into a realistic business strategy as well as providing input into clinical program(s) development, business development, business planning, budgets, managed care contracting and existing and potential new partnerships.
  • Assists in the development of best practice models for the service line and will be responsible for assisting in moving the organization forward in an increasingly competitive environment.
  • Demonstrates outstanding collaboration with physicians, nurses, clinical and administrative support services fostering productive and supportive working relationships with internal and external constituencies.
  • Oversees regulatory and accreditation activities related to service line performance and promotion, including survey visit prep, etc.
  • Leads the development of an integrated service line that spans all points of access and integration (e. g., clinics, acute and post-acute settings, ambulatory care settings).
  • Collaborates with essential partners within the System Office, Operations Group, Regions, and Hospitals.
  • Serves as a change agent, assisting associated service line staff to assimilate change in processes and practices.
  • Assists with identification and submission of funding/grant opportunities for the oncology service line.
  • Facilitates/collaborates with Population Health to improve health outcomes within the community.
Requirements:
  • Master\'s degree required.
