Position: Admissions Counselor Facility: Tulsa Job Corps Center Location: 1133 N Lewis Ave, Tulsa, OK 74110 Rate of pay: $21.31 per hour Work schedule: Full-time; Monday-Friday; Days Benefits include:

Position summary:\xe2\x80\xaf An admissions counselor is responsible for conducting direct recruitment activities and interfacing with other outreach contractors for student enrollment. Essential responsibilities:
  • Conduct direct recruitment activities, including public speaking, develop linkage with referral resources such as human services agencies, recreation centers, youth organizations and churches; participate in center tours and contact potential enrollees.
  • Interview interested candidates and obtained required information on each one, ensure all documents required to support eligibility are obtained, properly completed, and included in applicant\'s folder.
  • Arrange for reception of candidates upon acceptance into program.
  • Follow up on student progress, e.g., length of stay and separation.
Education and experience requirements:
  • Must have either a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business communications or a closely related field --OR-- an associate degree and two (2) years of related experience. Experience may include sales and successful outreach, admissions experience or successful outreach and admissions experience with other youth programs.
  • Bilingual- Spanish is preferred, but not required.
  • A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record is necessary.
