Must be separated from MaineHealth system for 3 months to be eligible.

The Admissions Representative - Recovery Services pre-admits and admits all admissions to Maine Medical Center Department of Outpatient Psychiatry. He/She serves as the important first contact for patients. The Admissions Representative determines insurance coverage, eligibility, and performs required pre-authorization procedures. He/She ensures the accuracy of the patient\'s medical record number and accuracy of demographic, financial and insurance information to maintain the integrity of the billing system. The Admissions Representative registers clients and scheduled follow up visits, collects co-payments, and maintains releases of information

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred

License/Certifications: N/A

Experience: 1+ years in a customer service experience required. 6 months+ of receptionist experience in a health care setting preferred.

Knowledge of 3rd party insurance practices, managed care principles, as well as billing and regulatory requirements preferred
