This position is located at Hilo Medical Center. The East Hawaii Region (EHR) of Hawaii Health Systems Corporation includes Hilo Medical Center, Ka\xe2\x80\x99u Hospital, Hale Ho\xe2\x80\x99ola Hamakua, Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home and the network of primary and specialty clinics within the East Hawaii Health Clinics. The Big Island of Hawai\'i offers amazing rainforests, waterfalls and beaches. The hospital staff is community-oriented and strive to provide competent and compassionate care to every patient that enters our doors. SUMMARY:
The Advanced Practice Provider for Palliative Care will be working with our hospital\xe2\x80\x99s medical teams and nurse case managers to improve the quality of life of patients who have serious or life-threatening disease. Focus will be on compassionate, patient-centered care and cost-effective use of resources. The majority of work will be in the acute hospital setting, though consults may also be received from the region\xe2\x80\x99s long-term care facilities. This position is full-time and comes with a great benefits package including medical, dental and vision coverage for you and your dependents, 20 days PTO, and 5 days CME.
This position requires experience in the Palliative Care setting, with certification as an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse

LICENSURE:

Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Hawaii.
