Duties and Responsibilities
: A
Include but are not limited to A
Assist in managing the workforce through responsible training and clear job assignment and explanation A
Build relationships with the customer base and key suppliers A
Assist in establishing and implement ing short-term goals that are consistent with long range plans for growth in operation, including facility, equipment, and personnel A
Communicate with manager and utilize additional resources (other branch managers, credit, marketing, human resources, etc.) to maximize profitability A
Maintain a safe working environment A
Ensure that department facilities and equipment meet all federal, state, and OSHA regulations A
Help maintain inventories to ensure service with minimum delivery delays, while maintain ing inventory turn goals A
Assist with handling tasks for assigned accounts A
Skills and Qualifications
: A
Must understand basic business principals of inventory management and personnel supervision A
Demonstrated strong leadership and organizational skills A
Possess a c lass A CDL with Hazmat endorsement and c ategory 1A applicators license , or ability to obtain A
Excellent customer relations and service skills A
Experience leading safety and business improvement strategies. A
Detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. A
Must be a team player and enjoy the effort necessary to contribute to a successful operation and company.
Ability and desire to solve problems in the fields of our customers. A
Possess a relative knowledge of crop diagnostics, crop protection, seed and fertility.
Farming experience helpful.
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Education and Experience:
A
BacheloraEUR(TM)s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A
Valid driveraEUR(TM)s license; must be able to meet a Motor Vehicle Review in accordance with Company policy. A
Must obtain and maintain required state commercial applicator certification as required by state . A
* Minimum Class B with Hazmat endorsement.
