Work 30-40 hours / week which will be a combination of planning and coaching
In general 6 hour days (2pm - 8pm) expected in the gym
Some planning can be done remotely from home
Work closely with other coaches and owner to ensure all classes are receiving appropriate coaching, training, safety and attention
Become and stay knowledgeable with current ninja class industry standards
SAFETY FIRST mindset!
Implement injury prevention plans and keep up with latest recommendations
Identify potential accident areas and pad or change obstacles accordingly
Teach proper falling and safety roll technique at least monthly
Spot necessary stations
Stay current with USAG Safesport, First Aid / CPR, and Concussion protocol and certifications
Administer basic first aid to athletes in case of injuries.
Help grow the ninja program by adding new classes, birthday parties, open gyms, etc suggesting marketing ideas and collaborating with the owner and other coaches
Ensure lesson plans and efficient rotation schedules are completed and followed
Ensure classes are effective, safe, and fun
Maintain an efficient use of ninja areas do reduce overlap and congestion
Evaluate athlete abilities and design instructional lesson plans accordingly
Delegate and train other coaches so they are able to easily fill in classes
Make sure advanced athletes are properly prepared with skills for competition season
Communicate athlete\xe2\x80\x99s progress to owner and parents
Assist with addressing concerns with parents
Conduct meetings with staff and parents when needed
Work evenings and weekends when needed
Represent the organization at community events when needed
Must be willing to attend coaching clinics and staff meetings
Assist with special events, birthday parties and clinics when needed
Monitor the work area to prevent emergency situations, as well as responding effectively in an emergency situation.
Explain and enforce safety rules and proper use of exercise equipment
Ensure gym equipment is in safe operational condition with daily checks
Maintain clean and organized workspaces throughout the ninja area
Is enthusiastic, outgoing, and able to relate to both parents and children in a fun, active, and competitive environment
Strong organizational skills, the ability to lead others and work collaboratively
Is patient, calm and professional with co-workers, athletes and parents
Maintain an energetic demeanor and positive approach to teaching, training, and competition
Actively mentor and help children in their education and growth in ninja and as people
Be a great role model to our athletes both in and out of the gym
Go above and beyond and always be thinking on how to improve and grow the program
