Role Summary:
The Americas Sales Leader will be responsible for setting and executing a sales strategy for our Global Individual Health (GIH) Business and leading a team to deliver on an aggressive growth and performance plan. We are a direct-to-consumer business working within a broader Cigna portfolio. At GIH, we are driving a retail culture: being customer-focused, agile and fast moving, innovative, and data driven.
Responsibilities:
Full accountability for sales organizational - from setting a strategy through to delivery of sales growth and performance targets including sales/membership growth and persistency goals, and earnings plan.
Develops and maintains strong intelligence capability through customer/broker contact and formal competitive analysis
Achieves sales/membership growth and persistency goals
Achieve/exceed earnings plan
Ensures account specific development plans promote profitable growth and a truly integrated Cigna Global product portfolio
Works with Client Managers to manage the renewal and presentation process for assigned customers
Team management including recruitment, performance management, development planning, etc.
Completes all reporting requirements on time.
Monitor critical metrics/dashboards to identify operational strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent work experience.
The role will require 50% travel, mostly within the United States and once a quarter international to (Dubai and United Kingdom).
8+ years of industry related experience; minimum of 5 years of sales experience required.
Demonstrated experience building innovative strategies in both broker and alternative distribution channels.
Lives and breathes data and demonstrated use of digital tools to drive effectiveness and efficiencies in work.
Demonstrated abilities leading a sale function from strategy through to execution \xe2\x80\x93 and proven accountability for delivering strong sales growth.
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, including public speaking and presentation skills.
Enjoys working hard and looks for challenges; able to act and react as necessary, even if limited information is available; not afraid to take charge of a situation; can overcome resistance to leadership and take unpopular stands when necessary.
Comfortable dealing with and managing an ever-changing, highly competitive industry/ environment; communicates optimism and confidence in the future.
Proven experience building a competitive sales force and leading a multidisciplinary team of professionals.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
