What you\'ll do...
Provides support for the global income tax department by staying up-to-date with income tax compliance regulations at the state and federal level; working with other tax department stakeholders to manage the processes and the projects to meet company\'s income tax accounting responsibilities; analyzing current and deferred tax assets and liabilities; preparing and reviewing company\'s income tax provision and effective tax rate computations; compiling data and creating reports to support senior management on Internal Revenue Service and state audit projects; and escalating potential exposure items to senior analysts and management.
Maintains and ensures accuracy and integrity of tax returns, forms, and audits by assessing federal, state, and international operations tax work papers (for example, analyses, schedules, transcriptions, memos, and confirmation results related to balance sheet and income statement items); executing and ensuring correction of deficiencies; working with internal and external auditors to ensure proper financial statement reporting; maintaining and testing processes for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) reporting and compliance; and preparing and reporting test results.
Manages basic to medium complexity federal and state income tax returns, forms, and United States reporting of international operations) by gathering financial data from departments and divisions; analyzing and incorporating data into returns; preparing work papers(for example, analyses, transcriptions, memos) and supporting schedules (for example, book to- tax adjustments, state apportionment, foreign exchange documentation); managing state tax notices and recommending resolutions to issues within established timelines; reviewing and responding to IRS information requisitions; processing financial and tax data using professional tax software in order to adhere to deadlines imposed by the Internal Revenue Service Compliance Assurance Program (CAP); and presenting income tax results to senior Management. Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.
