Analytics Leadership Development Program (ALDP) - Summer InternshipEvernorth Health Services is hiring a class of 2025 summer interns for its Analytics Leadership Development Program (ALDP). We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for candidates who have a background in advanced analytics and data science, a desire for leadership, and a passion for solving healthcare\xe2\x80\x99s biggest challenges through the use of data. The ALDP is a program we\xe2\x80\x99re building to develop future analytics and data science leaders. The ALDP internship offers:

• Real work: Over the course of your internship, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be assigned a real business problem to solve that challenges your analytical and technical skills while helping you build industry knowledge. Your work will also allow you to make direct contributions to our mission and company goals.

Example projects include:

• Build a predictive model to identify high-need customers for our clinical programs
• Use machine learning techniques to create population clusters that allow us to communicate with customers in personalized ways
• Analyze drivers of medical spend using statistical techniques and recommend actions we could take to mitigate cost increases
• Measure the impact of a business initiative on customers and clients via a matched case-control study
• Model the cost impact of changes in provider contracts on medical spend

• Community: Build relationships with cross-functional partners, peers, and other analytics and data science experts across the company

• Leader Speaker Series: You and your fellow peers will be exposed to a variety of sessions and presentations given by members of Evernorth Health Services.

Qualifications

• Working towards a Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a quantitative field, such as data science, statistics, business analytics, mathematics, or related
• Demonstrated coursework / real world application of analytical methods: writing code (e.g. Python, R, SAS, etc.), developing models (e.g. regression, decision tree, or other machine learning techniques), and/or evaluating outcomes using statistical techniques (e.g. matched case-control studies, A/B testing, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience with relational databases and SQL
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, across a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Strong motivation to apply quantitative reasoning to real-world business challenges
• Strong motivation for leadership (e.g. demonstrated through extracurricular work)
• 3.2+ GPA strongly preferred

Additional Information

• Location: The role is located at our Philadelphia, PA office located at: 1601 Chestnut St \xe2\x80\x93 Two Liberty, Philadelphia, PA 19192

• Housing: Summer housing is available for interns who live more than 50 miles from the Philadelphia, PA office.

• Work Authorization: One goal of this internship program is to prepare and identify qualified candidates for roles with Cigna post-graduation. Therefore, this temporary internship is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who would not require visa support including H-1B, CPT/OPT/STEM, etc., now or in the future.

• Schedule: You must be available to work 40 hours/week for 12 weeks beginning May 19, 2025. Working hours are Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Friday, core business hours are 8:00AM \xe2\x80\x93 5:00 PM Eastern.
• Market Range: For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of $36/hr depending on relevant factors, including experience, major and geographic location.
