Android Quality Engineer

Utah (hybrid or remote)

12month Contract, may extend

Pay Range: $45.00 $60.00per hr

Our client is searching for a strong Android Quality Engineer that will join their mobile app development group but work with minimal supervision to with engineers improve test coverage, release velocity, and subsequently production health of the new Android/Kotlin applications being built from the ground up. You will also be d esigning, coding, and implementing test cases and integrating with the automation suite while creating, maintaining, and executing functional, regression, and exploratory tests . Experience working with Android/Kotlin is crucial but experience with Jetpack and Android SDK would be a BIG bonus.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in a Android Quality Engineering role
• 2+ years of specialized experience in testing Android applications
• Experience working on enterprise level mobile applications
• Experience leading the testing efforts around all things mobile for large scale mobile projects

Bonus/Soft Skills:

• Experience either in Java or Kotlin
• Experience with Espresso or Mockito is a huge plus
• Experience with complex, large-scale systems
• Engineering mindset with an excellent product quality sense
• Strong problem-solving skills, and ability to think creatively while ensuring processes and procedures are properly followed
• Excellent verbal and writing skills; ability to produce clear, concise communications and documentation
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work on concurrent assignments with different priorities
• Bachelor\'s Degree in related field or equivalent experience
