Animal Caretaker
Job Description
```Duties``` - Provide daily care and support for animals in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Feed, water, and clean animal enclosures on a regular schedule.
- Monitor and document animal behavior, health, and any changes in condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinary staff.
- Assist with animal restraint during examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming.
- Clean and sanitize animal areas, including cages, kennels, and equipment.
- Assist with animal transportation as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatment. ```Skills``` - Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures.
- Experience in pet grooming techniques.
- Proficiency in animal restraint methods.
- Familiarity with animal catheterization procedures.
- Strong skills in animal handling and behavior management.
- Understanding of laboratory procedures related to animal care.
- Knowledge of animal husbandry practices.
- Ability to provide veterinary critical care when necessary.
- Experience in pet sitting or pet care services is a plus. Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
