Overview
The Agency of Transportation is seeking a Public Transit Program Coordinator to assist in implementing and managing the Agency\'s public transit programs. The Coordinator will work with public transit grants management, including securing compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and procedures. This position is also tasked with coordinating the FTA reports and overseeing the Public Transit Program\'s retainer contracts and Drug and Alcohol Testing contract(s), and is fully trained to execute transactions, reporting, and project management through FTA\'s financial accounting system (TrAMS by Appian). The Coordinator will supervise a group of public transit providers in an assigned geographic region to ensure delivery of services.

Environmental Factors
Duties are performed primarily in a standard office setting. On-site compliance reviews, hearings, meetings, and committee obligations requires travel for which private means of transportation should be available. Some work outside of regular work schedule may be anticipated. A need to confront grantees with contract and grant requirements may arise frequently. Some pressure from deadlines may be anticipated.
Minimum Qualifications
Master\'s degree in public or business administration, urban planning, or accounting AND two (2) years of experience in accounting, business management, financial auditing, grants administration, public transit, or related field.
OR
Bachelor\'s degree in public or business administration, urban planning, or accounting AND six (6) years of experience in accounting, business management, financial auditing, grants administration, public transit, or related field.
OR
High school graduation or equivalent AND eight (8) years of experience in accounting, business management, financial auditing, grants administration, public transit, or related field.
Special Requirements
Certification as a Certified Transit Program Administrator must be obtained within the first year.
