API Developer

The Opportunity:

Are you looking for an opportunity to not just develop software, but to shape the modernization of IT architecture as a thought leader? As an API developer, you can solve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast-paced, agile environment. We're looking for a developer with the skills needed to not only build systems - but to influence system architecture and design - by leading the design and development of Proofs of Concepts and Prototypes. We need an API developer who will use their passion to learn and propose new tools, techniques, and products to aid in the modernization of legacy systems.


On our team, you'll use your passion to learn new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You'll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You'll help make sure the solution developed by the team considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have:

2+ years of experience with On-Prem and Cloud implementations Experience with Java, NodeJS, Python and Ruby Experience with APIs, orchestration, automation, DevOps and databases Experience with Linux/UNIX systems and the best practices for deploying applications to those stacks Knowledge of networking and core Internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and distributed networks Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
