DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design and lead Chase\'s API and API Gateway technical strategies in alignment with business objectives. This includes API design guidance, API Gateway design decisions, drafting reference architectures and coordinating design between software engineering, networking, security and authentication teams. Identify business driven requirements for an API-first organizational strategy. Business requirements would support the needs of corporate partners, major clients, customer-facing products (like our mobile apps), internal software engineers, and our production support teams. Work with peer architects to align cross-functional projects, including specialty groups like cybersecurity and finance. Collaborate with internal teams and business leaders to create strategic multi-quarter roadmaps, including budget projections and capacity planning. Define the high-level architecture of the federated API gateway environment, including main components and interfaces, vendor selections, and ensure system controls. Work with software engineers and architects to provide design guidance for building API architectures in alignment with company\'s standards and controls. Communicate the API design concepts to development teams, mentor engineering leads, and framing governance standards. Build an architectural prototype to prove new feature feasibility, providing code snippets to facilitate the development process, and reviewing the code for compliance with predefined rules. Focus on key optimization themes concerning API architecture and engineering, API lifecycle management, API health and API marketplace.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master\'s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 5 (five) years of experience in the job offered or as Computer Systems Architect, Software Architect, Software Developer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: AWS Cloud services, including AWS API Gateway, AWS Certificate Manager, AWS Secret Manager, and resiliency design; Microservices; SOAP and REST web services; Software Development and Architecture; Secure API design and API Gateways; Application security design; Authentication; Authorization; Encryption; Service discovery and monitoring solutions.
Job Location: 575 Washington Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07310. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
Salary: $186,000.00-$250,000.00 per year.
