Farmers National Company is a 100% employee-owned company!We are seeking a dynamic Area Vice President in our Eastern Region - Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Southeast Illinois and parts of Kentucky. You\'ll be responsible for team leadership, expansive communication and coaching of the FARM Area Team. This position will also be responsible for the execution of area team strategies, goals and meeting the annual business plan.Are you excited about:

We can\'t wait to meet you!DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and maintain strong multi-layered relationships with key clients to support future succession of Farm Managers
  • Remain up-to-date on current initiatives, technical strategies and planning to provide appropriate direction and insight into work across the FARM Area, inform the team how their work fits into the strategic goals, and how the team\xe2\x80\x99s work aligns with the corporate strategic plan
  • Build strong relationships with key influencers to articulate company services; Host and/or attend industry or company workshops, conferences, trade shows, networking functions and other organized events; maintain a presence in professional or community service organizations
  • Embrace the team selling model to support long range plan growth goals and expand the company\xe2\x80\x99s presence; Serve as a leader of FNC and FARM Management Team to improve client relations, efficiencies and support long range initiatives
  • Direct leadership of Farm Managers, and Assistant Area Vice Presidents through collaboration of the FARM Leadership Team; Area Sales Manager and Appraisers through collaboration with Sr. Vice President of Real Estate Operations
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Directly supervises 11 employees within the area to support business growth, local team focus and leadership and development
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems in accordance with the organization\'s policies and applicable laws.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Agriculture, Business, or related field preferred;
  • Associate\xe2\x80\x99s Degree and 4 years work experience in lieu of Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate of competency and 8 years work experience in lieu of Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree
  • 8 years of work experience in Agriculture
  • 4 years of work experience in People Management
  • 4 years of work experience in Sales
  • Real estate brokers license or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Continually required to sit, talk/hear and utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read a computer monitor and use a keyboard
  • Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items less than 40 pounds
  • Occasionally (50%) travel within specified region on prospective client visits and to attend company/industry functions as required
