The selected candidate will be required to work in a team environment with other co-workers and managers.xc2xb7 Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
xc2xb7 Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSA regulations for safe working procedures.
xc2xb7 Report any problems to your manager.
xc2xb7 Follow directions of manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific duty.
xc2xb7 Analyze malfunctions and repairs, rebuild and maintain equipment including heavy construction equipment.
xc2xb7 Operate and inspect machines and equipment to diagnose defects.
xc2xb7 Dismantle and reassemble equipment, using hoists as well as hand power tools.
xc2xb7 Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges.
xc2xb7 Replace defective engines and sub-assemblies, such as transmissions, electric motors, drums, seals, hydraulic pumps, valves, pistons, rods, gears, etc.
xc2xb7 Test overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency (must be able to operate all equipment).
xc2xb7 Weld broken parts and structural members.
xc2xb7 May direct workers engaged in cleaning parts and assisting with assembly and disassembly of equipment.
xc2xb7 Perform record keeping of time and parts used on the appropriate forms.
xc2xb7 Plan work procedures and / or possible solutions such as part redesign, substitution of material or parts and rearrangement of parts or sub-assemblies.
xc2xb7 Perform general cleaning of work areas and maintenance areas.
xc2xb7 Assist other maintenance department staff in performing the duties necessary to assure the efficiency of operations of equipment / vehicles.
xc2xb7 Lift, carry and hold materials, tools and supplies.
xc2xb7 Perform other duties as assigned.Work Requirements
The ideal candidate will:xc2xb7 Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
xc2xb7 Pass a pre-employment xe2x80x9cFit for Workxe2x80x9d physical.xc2xb7 Be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
xc2xb7 Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times.
xc2xb7 Be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
xc2xb7 Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
xc2xb7 Report to work at the designated start time.
xc2xb7 Be able to work overtime when required.
xc2xb7 Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
xc2xb7 Must have valid driver's license and meet the qualifications of the fleet safety program. CDL preferred.
xc2xb7 Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
xc2xb7 Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
xc2xb7 Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and / or MSHA.
xc2xb7 Be at least age 18 years of age due to nature of working environment.Education/Experiencexc2xb7 Two year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
