Assistant Brewer/Bartender

to join our team! This unique hybrid position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in beer production while also serving as a bartender 2-3 days a week. Brewery responsibilities can vary and will likely be 2-3 days a week. Brew days are typically longer days and can last up to or over 8 hours.

Responsibilities

Brewing Assistant Duties:

Assist the brewer in the production of our house-crafted beer Mill and assemble grain for brewing Weigh out raw materials for brewery production Clean and maintain draft lines Keg beer from brite tanks and stage where needed Set up and maintain jockey boxes Pour and explain beer styles and ingredients at festivals and in-house Take fermentation readings and record data accurately Organize and stock the walk-in cooler with house and vendor beer Assist bartenders with changing kegs in a timely manner Label crowlers and maintain stock of bar supplies Clean, sanitize, and pressurize kegs as needed Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for brewery operations Contribute to beer promotional ideas Perform other beer production and packaging tasks as needed

Bartending Duties (2-3 days per week, flexible schedule):

Engage with customers to provide a top-notch experience Pour and serve beer while educating guests about our craft brews Work flexible evening shifts as needed Lift and carry heavy items such as kegs and cases of beer

Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 60 lbs Comfortable standing for long periods Willing to work in tight spaces with temperature fluctuations Ability to work in a loud environment and handle cleaning chemicals safely Capable of crouching, bending, and twisting as needed Ability to take direction and stay self-motivated Clean driving record and reliable transportation
