Assistant Manager Duties:
- Assist the store manager in daily operations and management of the retail store
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer complaints or issues
- Train and supervise employees, including conducting employee orientation and providing ongoing coaching and feedback
- Oversee inventory control and ensure accurate stock levels
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, implement strategies to drive sales growth
- Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new employees
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure accuracy of employee timekeeping records
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
- Handle cash transactions and perform cash register operations
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Experience:
- Previous experience in a retail environment is required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of retail math principles for inventory control and sales analysis
- Experience with interviewing, hiring, and training employees - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer complaints
