Job Description

The Assistant Manager at Jonesboro Dwarf House is responsible for assisting the General Manager in all aspects of running a successful and profitable restaurant. This individual will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the hospitality/restaurant industry and possess strong leadership skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of $18 to $20 per hour, paid on a biweekly basis. In addition to base pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement.

Responsibilities:

Assist the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including customer service, food quality, inventory management, and staff training and development Ensure a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers by providing exceptional customer service and resolving any customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner Manage and mentor a team of employees, including scheduling, training, and conducting performance evaluations Work closely with the General Manager to develop and implement strategies for increasing sales, managing costs, and achieving profit goals Oversee inventory management and ordering to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste or loss Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company standards Assist with various administrative tasks such as payroll, scheduling, and maintaining records and reports Stay up-to-date on industry trends and share innovative ideas for improving restaurant operations and customer experience

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in hospitality or restaurant management is preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience in a managerial role in the hospitality/restaurant industry Proven leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to manage and develop a diverse team Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle customer concerns with professionalism and empathy Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food safety and sanitation regulations, inventory management, and financial reporting Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings and weekends as needed Must be authorized to work in the United States
