DescriptionProvidence is calling for an Assistant Nurse Manager in Anchorage, Alaska. Supervises personnel and coordinates activities of Nursing. Performs all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and reflects the mission of philosophy of the Providence Health System. Serves as a role model for nurses, physicians, and department support staff, exhibiting the Core Values in all activities. Mentors under the Clinical Manager / Director and pursues management and leadership training within the Providence Alaska Learning Institute. May be assigned to special projects per Clinical Manager / Director consistent with strategic, fiscal, and operational goals/targets.Providence caregivers are not simply valued - theyre invaluable. • Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing.
• Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• 3 years - Clinical experience.
• 2 years - Recent clinical supervisory experience or charge nurse experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree - Nursing (All Registered Nurses without a minimum of a Bachelors degree in Nursing must obtain a Bachelors degree in Nursing or higher within 30 months of hire. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis at each facility by the most senior administrative nursing leader in consultations with the Human Resource Leader.)
• Certification within area of expertise or practice (Nursing Management, CCRN, CEN, etc.) upon hire.
