Overview

The Cardio Department at Penrose Hospital specializes in cardiology, cardiac surgery, vascular, telemetry and has 36 beds. Our patient mix is cardiac, cardiac surgical, vascular, pulmonary, arrhythmias and we receive overflow from other departments. Our mission is to provide the highest quality care to our patients.

We have self-scheduling with department schedulers to even out your schedule. We look for candidates that are motivated, want to learn and have a great work ethic.

Qualifications

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

• 2 years clinical RN experience
• 6 months - 1 year clinical leadership experience, preferred
• A degree in nursing (BSN or MSN), required
• High School GED required
• RN License to practice in Colorado or Kansas as applicable
• BLS from the American Heart Association required
• Additional Life Support Certifications per Department Standards; e.g. NRP, EFM, TNCC, etc.
• Appropriate facility identified national certification within one year of becoming ANM strongly preferred.

• Credential: ANM-ANCC Approved.
• Clinical and/or Leadership Certification strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Established in 1890, Penrose Hospital has grown to become a major health treatment and referral center, specializing in cancer care, cardiac care, emergency trauma care and physical rehabilitation.

Pay Range

$37.64 - $63.50 / hour
