The Assistant Operations Manager contributes to Mattress Firm\'s success by assisting in the efficient day-to-day operations of multiple functions within their assigned distribution center and ensures the Distribution Center (DC) provides world class service to internal and external customers.

• Supervises members of the distribution center team
• Contributes to meeting organizational financial objectives
• Ensures the team follows standardized operational processes in accordance with safety policies and procedures
• Assists in onboarding new team members in some cases
• Creates and fosters an environment of trust, open two-way communication, and cohesive team effort
• Ensures alignment with strategic vision and communicates organizational mission and values to the team
• Holds one-on-one meetings with direct reports at least twice a month
• Identifies opportunities and drives continuous improvement initiatives in the DC
• Facilitates resolution of customer service issues
• Conducts required physical cycle counts; reviews discrepancies and makes appropriate corrections
• Ensures use of proper safety equipment and maintains a safe working environment by ensuring that all safety policies and procedures are adhered to

Pay Range: Up to $60,000 per year
