Position Summary

The University of Wisconsin La Crosse, College of Science and Health, Department of Computer Science and Computer Engineering invites applicants for a full-time, 9-month, tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank, beginning no later than August 29, 2024 with a preference for a start date of January 10, 2024.

We seek a colleague who will be a dedicated teacher, scholar and mentor for students with varied backgrounds and career goals. Primary responsibilities include teaching coursework in computer engineering, computer science, and software engineering at the undergraduate and graduate level, advising students, engaging in an active program of scholarship, and engaging in professional service. Applicants should have or be near to completing a doctorate degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related field. The degree must be earned by the first personnel review held during the second semester after starting the position. Exceptional candidates in all areas of Computer Engineering, Computer Science or closely related fields will be considered. We are specifically interested in candidates with expertise in the areas of computer engineering, artificial intelligence, robotics and machine learning.

  • Strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research

  • Experience teaching in the field of software engineering, computer science, or computer engineering
