Role Responsibility and Expectations Entry Level Support/Assistant Guide Our entry level positions are designed for people who do not have previous commercial rafting experience. In Alaska, we have a lot of tasks and jobs that form the baseline of becoming an effective Alaskan Guide. This position provides opportunity to refine your guiding skills on Galcier Hikes & Kayak tours while dialing in your river navigation and current reading experience as a safety boater and assistant. The job entails, but is not limited to:

• Driving shuttles,
• Shop Work
• Cleaning & organizing
• Repairing boating/glacier gear & equipment
• Trip Preparation
• Rigging & De-Rigging
• Food preparation
• Food/gear shop
• Guiding
• Glacier hikes
• Lake kayak tours
• Assistant day-raft guiding
• Client interactions & community representation
• Office/Sales Shop Shifts including Ice Cream/Espresso Sales
• Taking reservations
• Greeting & signing-in guests/Assisting with the suit up process
• Cleaning & organizing gear pre/post trip

Required Experience

• Minimum of a High School Diploma
• Valid United States State Issued Driver\'s License
• Able to lift 50 lbs overhead
• Confident and Friendly Demeanor
• Able to work in an autonomous work environment

Preferred Experience

• 2 years university or equivalent work experience

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour Schedule:

• Day shift
• Overnight shift
