Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support lead teacher in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, focusing on their educational and developmental needs. This role is essential in fostering a love for learning and ensuring that all students, including those with disabilities, receive the attention and resources they need to thrive.

Responsibilities

Assist lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities. Support children in their learning processes, encouraging literacy education and skill development. Foster an inclusive environment by working effectively with students of varying abilities, including those with disabilities. Communicate effectively with children to promote understanding and engagement. Help maintain a safe and clean classroom environment conducive to learning. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to lead teachers regarding individual needs and complete observations Engage in activities that promote social skills, emotional growth, and cognitive development. Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support children's learning at home.

Requirements

Experience working with children in a daycare or childcare setting is preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively educate and interact with students. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children of all backgrounds. Previous experience supporting students with disabilities is advantageous but not mandatory. A commitment to fostering literacy education among young learners.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
