Provides a broad range of administrative support of a highly responsible and confidential nature. Gathers, analyzes,prepares and summarizes special reports. Works somewhat independently and may oversee the work of others. Communicates with a diverse population, including staff, patients, and outside visitors. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Compiles, prepares and analyzes documents, reports, and files to provide necessary information for decision making.
Maintains an organized and efficient office by keeping department files and records in an accessible,orderly and current condition to assure continuous work flow.
Understands regulatory requirements and facilitates compliance with administration and appropriate department\'s by maintaining awareness of guidelines and ensuring compliance through communication and documentation.
Utilizes hospital information and telecommunications systems independently and competently to maintain records, correspondence and reports and to facilitate timely communication by staying abreast of current software and telecommunications systems.
Communicates clearly and effectively by using outstanding verbal and written skills to clearly convey information to all audiences.
Completes assigned goals.
Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Education
Preferred: Some business or human resources college coursework.
Minimum: Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency. Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.
Experience
Preferred: 2 years administrative office support experience in a human resources dept or healthcare environment.
Minimum: 2 years administrative office support experience.
Special Skills
Preferred: Some knowledge of medical terminology.
Minimum: Computer literate; ability to type 40 words per minute within designated accuracy range.
Training
Preferred: Proficient in the use of personal computers and financial program packages.
