Associate Director of Business Operations and Analysis

Carrollton, TX

The TMX Finance\xc2\xae Family of Companies is looking for an Associate Director of Business Operations and Analysis to join our team. This critical role will be a gate keeper, cross departmentally, to ensure we are operationally benefiting from our valuable data resources. Meeting with internal stakeholders and data vendors to assess business case uses, validate sources, and recommend implementation strategies of our vast data resources. Reporting directly to our SVP of Operational Strategy, you will use your Microsoft Office proficiency and business acumen to influence the way we benefit from data operationally.

Responsibilities

• Ability to understand and develop constructive partnerships with functional business partners on a day-to-day basis and ability to negotiate with business partners at all levels of the organization.
• Hold cross functional meetings to determine business case use of data. Deploy your strong business acumen to offer possible uses to business stakeholders.
• Ability to drive insights from new and trusted data amongst the organization.
• Exceptional written and verbal business communication across all forums, with frequent senior executive level meetings.
• Ability to communicate down to the transaction/event level of data from an operational execution perspective.
• Ability to distill data into consulting-quality Senior-Leadership-ready presentation materials that are crisp, accurate, tell a compelling story about how we can benefit from both external and internal data sources.
• Keen ability to tie operational objectives to behavior ultimately determining if data can steer our strategy.
• Competence at reading and understanding KPI reporting. Using this ability to find assess what additional data elements available to us that are not currently in use.
• Assess gaps in company performance where additional data and visibility would benefit our operational departments.
• Ability to articulate complex measures & data-driven concepts to technical and non-technical partners.
• Attend strategic operational meetings to stay current on company initiatives that require data support.
• Create meaningful business analysis that highlights variances across key areas.
• Support ad-hoc analysis on varying subjects within operations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while supporting many stakeholders with urgency.
• Desire to work with teams and independently during different stages of a project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Business, Finance, Business Analysis, Operations, or a similar field
• 7+ years of experience in an analyst or business operations role.
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills across all forums, with frequent senior executive level meetings
• Strong written and verbal business communication skills
• High-level of professionalism and integrity expected
• Ability to manage a queue of multiple analysis requests, including field observations
• Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with expert level understanding of Excel and PowerPoint
• Proven ability working in a fast-paced environment
• Physical demands for this position frequently include: the ability to remain in a stationary position, move about freely inside and occasionally outside of the office, and the operation of mechanical controls, such as a keyboard

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA preferred
• SQL is a plus
