Minimum Qualifications 70.1 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS:
One year of permanent, contingent permanent, or 55 B/C service as a Financial Services Examiner 2, SG - 23.

NON COMPETITVE PROMOTON (NCP) QUALIFICATIONS:
Non-Competitive Promotion (NCP) Qualifications: To be eligible for NCP, candidates must be in the Department of State promotion field and have one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55 b/c service as a Senior License Exam Specialist If 3 or fewer qualified Department of State Senior License Exam Specialist respond to this posting, Civil Service may approve the permanent appointment of one of the qualified Senior License Exam Specialists without further examination.

Note: Non-competitive refers to not competing in an examination; the appointment will be competitive.

Duties Description DUTIES:
The Associate License Exam Specialist duties in Licensing Services will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Supervise and manage various license application processing units within the Division. Provide guidance and ensure compliance with licensing laws ensuring candidates meet minimum qualification. Communicate statutory or regulatory changes that affect licensing requirements.
  • Mange unit workflow ensuring division processing goals are being met.
  • Assist with the development and adherence to Division policies and procedures. Establish operating practices, procedures and performance standards for unit activities.
  • Prepare and maintain daily, weekly and monthly statistical and narrative reports as requested by administration and executive staff.
