Our Evidence Generation team is hiring an Associate Research Scientist to join our team of research professionals conducting client studies in the pharmacy and biotech space; operating as a thought leader, problem solver and data collection and analysis expert.

About You:

  • You are interested in working as a health economics and outcomes research consultant with would like to learn more about the pharmaceutical industry and medical affairs
  • You contribute to studies to facilitate evidence generation of quantitative and qualitative data from multiple types of stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem: patients, caregivers, providers, payers and policy makers.
  • You have experience with performing literature reviews, developing study protocols and surveys, analytic dataset creation, data analyses, and deliverable creation.
  • You can anticipate and identify considerations relevant to the implementation of various methodological approaches.
About The Role:

As an Associate Research Scientist on the Evidence Generation team at PRECISIONheor, you will collaborate across a broad portfolio of sophisticated real-world evidence projects in a multi-level team structure. As an Associate Research Scientist, you will perform innovative research and analyses to evaluate the clinical, humanistic, and/or economic value of new diagnostic and therapeutic health interventions. You will conduct health economics/outcomes research studies to examine burden-of-illness, treatment patterns, medication use, and clinical outcomes using administrative health insurance claims/electronic medical record or through the development of survey instruments and discussion guides. Responsibilities include development of study protocols and data collection instruments, preparing analytic datasets, conducting qualitative and/or quantitative analyses, and producing client ready outputs for integration into deliverables as indicated by senior team members. You may also support business development by contributing to research proposals and presentation content, and you will have opportunities to establish research credentials by publishing study results in peer reviewed journals and at scientific conferences.

Required Experience:
  • 1-2 years of experience in health related field.
  • Master\'s degree in a subject related to health services research e.g., health economics, public policy, health policy, epidemiology, biostatistics, or public health
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team
Helpful Experience:
  • PhD in a subject related to health services research e.g., health economics, public policy, health policy, epidemiology, biostatistics, or public health
  • Previous exposure to and understanding of health economics and outcomes research studies.
  • Willingness and desire to learn and share knowledge
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Track record of relevant peer-reviewed publications

This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.
