Overview

St. Joseph Village of Chicago, a part of Franciscan Ministries, is a faith based senior living community located in the Northwest side of Chicago. Our community provides a full continuum of care and services in a warm and friendly environment including: assisted living, memory support, rehabilitation and skilled nursing.

ADON (Assistant Director of Living) to assist with the planning, directing, supervision, and evaluation of nursing service activities in order to maintain quality nursing care, assist with the orientation of new associates, scheduler for the nursing department, assists with IP with COVID testing, processes and reporting, provides in-service education and training to the associates of the Nursing Department and to assist with planning and coordination of educational programs offered to the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with the DCS in the development and revision of policies and procedures through analysis of department quality assurance, data trends and discussion of ongoing issues for both Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living
  • Acts as clinical resource to staff, making recommendations regarding resident care. Provides associates with training based on regulatory and corporate requirements and the facility and departmental needs including mandatory education. Coordinates CPR training to associates. Completes competency testing.
  • Assist and supervises with coordinating the delivery of personal care, nursing services to residents including life enrichment, physician visits, therapy services; PT/OT/SP, dental, podiatry, optometry and outside specialist services.
  • Assist in the completion of quality assurance activities to include chart audits, incident/accident reports, wound care, infection control, pharmacy and dietary recommendations.
  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management and performance appraisals of the clinical team.
  • Serves as liaison between residents and administration in representing resident concerns, needs and proposals. Analyzes needs of residents in the entire community and makes recommendations for location change as well as additional needed services.
Required skills and qualifications:
  • 3 years of clinical nursing experience
  • Knowledge of Medicare PPS
  • Licensed Registered Nurse
  • Long Term Care experience
  • Must be certified in Basic Life Support
