Job Description


CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an employee-owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company is seeking for an Audio/Visual Information Specialist with TS/SCI clearance and polygraph.

The successful candidate will work with customers and within a larger team to design, develop, and create striking design concepts and creative ideas to enhance the customers various branding initiatives. Candidate will be working with the existing customer and contractor team to create enhance all internal and external communications, marketing/advertising, and promotional materials which may include literature, print, multimedia, social media, web applications, presentations, videos, and graphical-based applications. This A/V Information Specialist will be involved in the planning, design, and production of artwork (audio, video, and graphics/animations) along with the strategy and concept of new design campaigns.

The candidate is expected to actively participate in requirements capture, and development/deployment strategy meetings with the customer, and will be responsible for duties including but not limited to the following:

  • Research, acquisition, editing, and production of commercial broadcast-quality video and audio informational materials for use on web and traditional media platforms.
  • Identification and selection newsworthy events.
  • Production of radio, television, and documentary scripts, narrations, customer/public service announcements, and spot announcements.
  • Acquisition of still digital images, editing of images; creation of photo story and multiple page documents using advanced layout and design techniques that combine elements of digital graphic and design techniques with the use of vector, raster and desktop publishing.
  • Preparation of sets to include the positioning of lights, cameras, sound, properties and personnel, and ensuring special audio and video effects are used effectively.
  • Editing of final video products shot in sequence and/or out-of-sequence to ensure continuity, effectiveness of action and dialogue or narrative, using industry standard digital editing
  • Maintaining productive working relationships with staff in other communications.
  • Assisting with developing and producing content for new and emerging communication vehicles, such as blogs, audio, video, and online publications.
  • Selection of associated visual material as necessary and available.
  • Maintenance of organization\'s content repository of audio and video products.
  • Design, development, debugging, and implementation of new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
  • Research, testing, building, and coordinating the conversion and/or integration of new products based on user requirements.
  • Addressing problems of system integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
  • Consultation with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
  • Performing feasibility analysis on potential future projects.
  • Assisting in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools.
Additionally, the candidate must be equally comfortable working independently or with a team, be self-motivated, exhibit strong problem-solving skills, and have an aptitude for learning new technologies. The position is located in Bethesda, MD, but exact location may vary. Some local travel may be necessary but is not anticipated with this position.

Required Skills
  • Must hold an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a related field, from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of relevant audio/visual production experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with end-to-end audio and video production (to include research, conceptualization, design, production, post-production, and distribution/publishing)
  • Understanding and ability in the application of visual design and layout principles for photographic and graphical projects using industry standard techniques and software products.
  • Strong experience with the Adobe Creative Suite 6 (or higher) Production Premium software and supporting tools for layout, editing, and final production of multimedia products.
  • Familiarity with copyright laws applicable to audio/visual information production.
  • Candidate will engage directly with external customer, so excellent interpersonal, communication, organization, and customer services skills are necessary.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, organized, detail oriented, quick learner, and a team player.
  • Must possess a high attention to detail.
  • 2+ years in secure US Government environments.
Desired Skills/Experience:
  • Experience with other desktop publishing software (e.g. Corel Ventura, Talisma Knowledgebase)
  • Experience with other graphics or photo imaging software (e.g. CorelDraw Graphics Suite, Corel Paint Shop)
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in IT field is preferred. (Other education, commensurate experience and demonstrated ability of individual may be substituted.)
