We are looking for a highly skilled test automation engineer to design automation tests. Your role as a QA Automation Engineer is to write scripts and create automation environments for repeated tests. Using different automation tools, you will design, test, and deploy effective test automation solutions that are part of our CI/CD. Your goal is to automate as much of the testing effort as possible.
Skills
\xc2\xb7 Programming skills to write computer code and scripts in common computer languages, such as C#, Java.
\xc2\xb7 Collaboration with QA Analysts and Software Developers to develop solutions.
\xc2\xb7 Analytical skills \xe2\x80\x93 Analytically examine bug reports, prioritize necessary tests, and streamline application functions through automated testing processes.
\xc2\xb7 Attention to detail \xe2\x80\x93 Being detail oriented is required as you will test applications AND find ways to isolate and circumvent them.
\xc2\xb7 Communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with the engineering team and QA team.
\xc2\xb7 Must have attitude to work in a good team spirit, pair program and that follow agile methodologies.
Tools
\xc2\xb7 Automation testing tools like Selenium, Cucumber, Node.js
\xc2\xb7 API Testing tools like RestSharp, REST Assured, JMeter
\xc2\xb7 CI/CD tools like AzureDevOps, Jenkins, etc
\xc2\xb7 Git
\xc2\xb7 Programming skills necessary to write test scripts in C# or Java etc.
\xc2\xb7 General problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
\xc2\xb7 Write, design, and execute automated tests by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically.
\xc2\xb7 Maximize test coverage for the most critical features of the system.
\xc2\xb7 Determine the priority for test scenarios and create execution plans to implement these scenarios.
\xc2\xb7 Write documentation for automated processes including test plans, test procedures, and test cases.
\xc2\xb7 Build test automation frameworks.
\xc2\xb7 Log and document bugs in the tracking system.
\xc2\xb7 Set up Continuous Integration.
\xc2\xb7 Besides writing automated tests, Test Automation Engineers can still do exploratory testing when they need to understand how functionality manifests itself to the customer.
Qualifications
\xc2\xb7 5+ years of relevant technical experience
\xc2\xb7 Experience in working with Agile methodology
\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer engineering/IT or related field or equivalent work experience.
